This survey considers over twenty programming languages. The short reports available on each language aim to introduce the main features of the language, provide the links to further sources of information, and give an indication of the current developments within the language.
Extensions to the programming language C to support fixed-point arithmetic,
named address spaces and basic I/O hardware addressing. These features
are commonly found in embedded processors and are not supported by the
standard C language.
Matlab provides high quality support for domain specific and control engineering as well as scientific engineering in general and visualization. Simulink itself, with its add-on Stateflow, provides an integrated description and simulation environment for hybrid systems, both dataflow and state based.
