Cluster: Control for Embedded Systems
Embedded systems are deployed in the real world, and are often reactive to it. This interaction with the environment is intrinsic to the service provided. A large proportion of embedded systems can be considered to be controllers. On the other hand, most automated control applications will be implemented as embedded components. Thus, it is essential that work on joining control theory and embedded systems be included in the ARTIST2 NoE.
The focus of the research in the Control for Embedded Systems cluster is implementation-related real-time issues for networked embedded control systems and control of real-time computing and communications systems.
