The Royal Institute of Technology - KTH, in Stockholm seeks outstanding individuals for a Post-doc position in the area of Embedded systems. The position is connected to the Embedded control systems research group at the Division of Mechatronics, at the KTH School of Industrial Engineering and Management (ITM). KTH, which is located centrally in Stockholm, was founded in 1827 and is the largest of Sweden’s universities of technology (more information).

The Embedded control systems group has a major emphasis in research on Architectural design and Model based development, in the context of Mechatronics and Embedded systems. Current research projects include ATESST, DYSCAS, ARTIST2, Frames and Save++, (more information).

We are seeking candidates with a research background in one or more of the following areas and subtopics:
  • Model driven development á la OMG (SysML, UML2, profiling, XMI, EMF, model transformations)
  • QoS techniques, autonomic computing, control of computing systems, and middleware (e.g. 2K, Corba, Tao, Runes)

The post-doc position will, depending on the applicants’ profile, be connected to one or more ongoing research projects. The work will include both theory development as well as joint work in our team on demonstrator development. Applicants should therefore have strong practical programming skills and preferably experience in larger software development projects. Knowledge in other computer aided engineering tools is a plus.
