Modellierung 2006 workshop on: Modellbasierte Entwicklung von eingebetteten Fahrzeugfunktionen.
The Artist meeting was scheduled to provide an opportunity to attend the morning sessions of the workshop on Modellbasierte Entwicklung von eingebetteten Fahrzeugfunktionen, which is a part of the Modellierung 2006 conference.

ARTIST2 Real-Time Components cluster afternoon on Advanced Embedded Control
This was the first working meeting of this new cluster. This meeting focused on the topic of Advanced Embedded Control, .i.e, the combination of control functions and embedded architecture design in automobile and how the two aspects interact with each other.

 RTC cluster working meeting. We planned the next meetings for the two Activities: Forums With Specific Industrial Sectors, and Seeding New Work Directions, and we shall briefly review the workplan of other JPRAs of the cluster.

The morning session gave an up-to-date first-hand insight into key developments in the AUTOSAR project regarding its component model and the handling of safety and real-time aspects. The presentations will be followed by an initial shorter discussion period allowing clarification of issues related to the presentation.

 Panel: Beyond AUTOSAR

 The afternoon session identified strategic joint research directions between industry and academia for enhancing future electronic development processes, and capitalizing on AUTOSAR results.
The format will be a discussion panel including invited academic and industrial representatives (including the speakers), with active participation with all persons present.
 Panelists were the industrial speakers, plus François Terrier (CEA), Rolf Ernst (Braunschweig University), Martin Törngren (KTH), Stefan Kowalewski (Aachen University), Alberto Sangiovanni (PARADES), and Joseph Sifakis (Verimag).
